Hi Abigale, Hows it going? How was your 2016/17 season?
My season was awesome! I was able
to travel a bunch and walk away learning some new tricks and a couple podiums.
Right on! You came home with a win at the Aspen Open, this
year. Want to tell us a little more
about how that went from your POV?
Aspen was super fun, I learned a
new trick in training and was pumped to put it in my run. It was by far one of
the funniest competitions this year! Girls
were throwing down and we all were pushing each other which is just how
it should be competing a bunch of girls having fun and pushing each other to do
the best they can.
What is your favorite competition or venue to
travel to each year?
My favorite Venue to travel to
would be the Grand Prix every year, The Grand prix at the beginning of the year
in copper is super fun because everyone is getting back into the competition
grind after summer training. You get to use a lot of the new things you learned
over summer training, which is always interesting and fun to do!
How do you usually prepare for your
competition? Do you have a
favorite/preferred place to go train?
I always end up out in copper
preparing for all of the competitions at the beginning of the year, which is
super fun but super cold! Before I head out to copper I’m usual in the gym at
home as much as possible getting strong before the long seasons.
Outside of skiing, what else to you like to do
for fun?
Outside of skiing I like to Mountain Bike, swim and Hike
when I can. I love spending my time outdoors!
Thats awesome! got any favorite Favorite tunes you listen to before a comp?
I have to say my two go to artists are Beyoncé and Joan Jett
on competition days.
