We just couldn`t take the heat in
Bucharest, so we packed the truck and hit the road to Constanta`s very own
Gravity Park for the much needed seaside contest Gravity Invaders 2014.
We had two action packed days of tricks
from both our skaters and our BMX riders, who didn`t mind the heat and actually
turned it up a notch with killer tricks, pro or young blood the competition was
on!
Skateboarding wise, Cristian Cohal reigned
supreme with a fs and a bs blunt on the handrail, smith pop out on the pyramid
ledge, bs 360 over the hip and last but not least a gnarly feeble up the rail.
Dragos Carlan came in second, killing it
with a bs lipslide on the rail and stole the show with the Best Trick, disaster
50-50 on the ledge.
Radu Patrahau landed in third with a 50-50
down the ledge.
The young blood were rewarded for their
skills, especially Irimia Robert who landed straight to 1st place with tricks
like boardslide down the rail and 50-50 on the ledge, followed closely by
Trifea Ionut in second and Berhec Daniel in third.
It was time for the steezy BMXers to
takeover the course and yet again, Monster Energy Ambassador, Jula Raul had a
flawless display of runs, with huge transfers and grind combos.
Runner up was David Peto, who used the
course in a more technical way with tricks like feeble whip out and 360
barspin to fakie to halfcab.
Ardusadan Ionut landed on third, destroying
the rails with tricks like 50-50 to turndown, over to smith on the rail, over
tooth peak grind, feeble 180 out and some crazy whips and grinds on the biggest
ramps in the park and on 4th, Sinan Coveltir proved himself with 3whips, feeble
barspins and double barspins.
Best trick at BMX was a hard decision at
this first edition of Gravity Invaders. The judges said it was a tight one
between Dragos Bogdan (over icepeak down the rail), David Gold (540 Footjam),
Sinan Coveltir (barspin drop over the funbox) and Topan Ionut hitting the same
one as Sinan. The picked Dragos Bogdan`s flawless over icepeak down the rail,
ending our contest with a bang!
We had a killer sesh at the first edition
of Gravity Invaders. We hope you did too and see you next year!
