Author: Tim Remick

Cold Temps and snow flurries kept riders on their toes and bundling up the layers at the First round of the ProGRT series at Windrock, TN. Riders circled around the venue to stay warm and get focused as a little snow and rain decided to poke its head out of the clouds and moisten the track a bit for Race day. Luckily it was brief and conditions were at their best come race run.

Our Pro Men riders faired well against a heavily stacked field of Racers, some of which venturing from across the pond or have extensive World-Cup-winning reputations. Shane Leslie put down a solid run and was able to come away with a respectable 4th place finish. Bruce Klein was struggling through practice but was able to find his groove come race run and land himself in 5th place. Charlie Harrison was able to pull away a 7th place finish despite feeling a little under the weather the past week with the Flu. Lastly, Joshua Rogers finished out the Top 10 in the 10th position. Pro Women Saw Angelina Palmero throw down a blazing run to land her on the 2nd step of the podium.

Our Junior Men came out the gate firing, laying down times that would land them in the top 10 in the pro ranks. Nik Nestoroff scorched the field by 8 seconds to take a Dominating win, followed by Steven Walton in the second spot, also hanging it out and laying down a fast time.

Next, our athletes head to the great Pacific Northwest in mid-May for Rd. #2 in Port Angeles, WA as well as overseas to Lourdes, France for the first World Cup event of the year. stay tuned!
