Monster Army Loretta Area Qualifier Updates

Monster Energy's Jace Owen has been killing it in 2013 working towards Loretta Lynn's this August.
Owen is coming into the A class with quite a few Area Qualifier wins under his belt. Jace started off with
podium finishes at Marion County MX for the South East region scoring second place in 450 A and third
in Open Pro Sport. Since February, Jace has kept a very clean qualifier record sweeping each class he
competed in at Lincoln Trail and Log Road. Owen took first place overall in the 250 A, 450 A, and Open
Pro Sport classes in both the North Central and Mid-East area races giving himself plenty of options and
gaining a lot of momentum heading into Regional qualifiers.
The #707 of Nick Gaines is back in action clicking off a few area qualifiers for Loretta Lynn's lately. Gaines
got the ball rolling in the Southeast Region at Mill Creek. Nick qualified in the 250 A, 450 A, and Open
Pro Sport classes, his best finish a fourth overall. Gaines picked it up at his Mid-East qualifier at Ballance
MotoX again qualifying for all three of his classes. In the Open Pro Sport class, Monster Army's Gaines
started off with a third overall getting back onto the podium. Nick followed this up with a second place
finish in 250 A and a big win in the 450 A class over some very fast company definitely getting back to
things on the right note for a successful 2013 season.
California kid Sean Cantrell has been ripping on his Monster Army backed Kawasaki rides this spring.
Sean started his Loretta's qualifying process with a string of great finishes in the Southwest Region at
Arizona Cycle Park. Cantrell made it to the regional in each of his classes earning a fourth place finish
in Super Mini 1 (12-15), a third in Super Mini 2 (13-16), and a second place overall in the Mini Sr. (12-
14) Limited class. Cantrell's best finish of this event came in the Mini Sr. (12-14) class where the #37
machine came out on top with first overall. Sean continued his winning ways at the Northwest Region
area qualifier scoring wins in the Mini Sr. (12-14) class as well as in the Super Mini 1 (12-15) class starting
things off right on top of the box. Sean also landed a pair of thirds in Mini Sr. (12-14) Limited and Super
Mini 2 (13-16) continuing his journey to Loretta Lynn's in a solid way.
Tristan Charboneau of Tenino, Washington is on his way to Loretta's through the Southeast or the South
Central region earning himself some solid impressive results so far. Beginning at Marion County MX
Charboneau raced in the 250 B Limited, 250 B, Schoolboy 1, and Schoolboy 2 classes, his best finish
a fourth overall. Moving on to the South Central region, Monster Energy backed Tristan took on the
competition at the Van Way Moto Playground. Charboneau started off hot taking the overall wins in
the 250 B Limited and 250 B classes wasting no time getting to the front. Charboneau backed these
performances up with a second in Schoolboy 1 (12-16) and a third in Schoolboy 2 (13-16) paving the way
for a successful year at the Ranch.
(12-14) Limited and Super Mini 1 (12-15) as well as third in Mini Sr. (12-14) and his best a second in
Super Mini 2 (13-16). Stack finished up the North Central region scoring podium results in each class he
competed in. Stack began with podiums in both Supermini 1 and Super Mini 2 with third and second
place finishes. Tanner's best results came in the Mini Sr. (12-14) Limited and Mini Sr. (12-14) classes
where he took the overall wins at Romp MX putting the #382 in a great position heading into regional
competition.
Richards, Missouri's Austin Forkner is killing it en route to the Ranch to take on the stacked Super Mini
divisions. Forkner started off with wins in Super Mini 1 and 2 on his Monster Energy backed Super Mini's
at Underground MX Park. Forkner repeated his performance again at a North Central Loretta's qualifier.
Austin took on competition at Romp MX landing himself another pair of wins in the Super Mini 1 and
Super Mini 2 classes sealing the deal and securing another chance of taking on the Ranch.
Coalville, Utah's Garrett Marchbanks is on his way to qualifying for the Loretta Lynn's Amateur national
on his Monster Energy Team Green Kawasaki 85's. So far Marchbanks has competed at the Southwest
region Area qualifier at Competitive Edge. Marchbanks piloted his Kawasaki's to the podium in each
class winning the 85 (9-11) Limited class and second overall in the 85 (9-11) class starting his journey on
the right foot.
Lubbock, Texas native Carter Halpain is well on his way to the prestigious Loretta Lynn Ranch. Halpain's
qualifying process started in the South Central Region at Three Palms. Carter competed in the Mini Sr.
(12-14) Limited, Mini Sr. (12-14), and Super Mini 1 (12-15) classes making it in each class and landing an
impressive second overall in Super Mini 1. Halpain's second shot came in the North Central region at
Romp MX. Halpain scored a pair of podium finishes in the Mini Sr (12-14) class and Super Mini 2 (13-16)
class as well as fourth in Super Mini 1 (12-15) adding to his solid results en route to the Loretta Lynn's
Amateur National.
Stilez Robertson started his trek to Loretta Lynn's with a pair of identical finishes at each of his qualifiers.
Robertson started off with a win in the Southwest region at Arizona Cycle Park in the 85 (9-11) Limited
class. Stilez backed it up with a sixth place result in the 85 (9-11) division. Next at Underground MX Park,
Robertson repeated his results in the South Central region with another win in the 85 (9-11) Limited
class notching another qualifier win for the young Monster ripper heading into regional qualifying.
Ryder Difrancesco has been busy qualifying for Loretta's competing in three different regions so far
in 2013. Ryder started things off in the Southwest region at Arizona Cycle Park with a first place finish
in the 51 (7-8) Limited class. Monster Energy's Difrancesco continued his pursuit of another Loretta
Lynn's title again winning the 51 (7-8) Limited region in the South Central region at Underground MX.
Difrancesco also scored second place overall in the Northwest region at Hollister Hills securing yet
another shot for the #199 machine to make its way to the Loretta's starting gate.
Simi Valley, California's Carson Mumford has been at work qualifying for Loretta's. Mumford is currently
qualified in the Southwest region. Carson earned himself a pair of second place overall finishes securing
the #122's spot on the regional gate. Competing in the 85 (9-11) Limited and 85 (9-11) class, Carson's
impressive early results look promising coming into the rest of the summer.
Monroe, Washington's Darian Sanayei is currently on his way to Loretta Lynn's working to make it
through the required qualifiers. Sanayei started off with a win in the 250 B class in the South East region
at MX of Marion County as well as a second place finish in the 450 B division. Darian continued his attack
on LLQ's at the Northeast area race at Elizabeth City Motocross again winning the 250 B class. Most
recently, Sanayei made his way into the Southeast region in the 250 B Limited class scoring a fifth place
overall finish good enough to line up on the regional gate and get his Monster Energy Team Green ride
to the gate at Loretta's.
Colt Nichols is well on his way to the Ranch in 2013 at the rate he is going. Nichols started off with a
clean sweep of his weekend at the South Central region area qualifier at Reynard Raceway MX taking
the top honors and first overall spot in the Open Pro Sport, 250 A, and 450 A class on his #595 Monster
Kawasaki. Colt followed these results up with a pair of wins at his North Central qualifier in the 250
A and 450 A classes continuing his journey to take on the A class at the Ranch on a very strong note.
Nichols also scored a fourth in the Open Pro Sport class securing yet another chance of making it to
Hurricane Mills this summer.
