How’s it going man! How has your season been going?

Hey Tim! I’m pretty good man. This season has been a really interesting one, it’s been one of the most exciting as well as one of the most stressful. I got hurt two times which took me out for more a lot more time then I would have liked. I ended up missing a few competitions and had to take it easy in a few more. Pushing all of that aside, I got the opportunity to go on a dream trip to Europe. I went on a 3 week long trip competing and filming in Germany, Austria, Spain, and Andorra.

So how did you get into skiing?

I began skiing when I was 2 years old when I lived in Massachusetts. About 2 years later I was messing around a race shack at my local hill and a coach came up to me and asked if I was interested in joining the race team. I then raced alpine for 9 years. During the last 2 years of racing I started messing around in the terrain park with some friends from school. I started getting in the park more and more when I wasn’t racing and I finally decided that was what I wanted to do. I then quit racing and joined the freestyle team at Waterville Valley, New Hampshire. The year after that my family and I moved out to Park City, Utah. I then joined Team Park City United, and began competing and training full time. That’s pretty much been my life ever since.

You were injured for the NorAm Cup @ Winsport, but that gave you the opportunity to do some filming for us. Want to give me the details about that week?

Yeah so I ended up dislocating my rib at the Aspen Open back in February. I thought I was okay a week later so I flew out to Calgary for the NorAm cup. On the first day of training it popped right back out when I hit a rail and right then I knew I wouldn’t be able to compete. I noticed there were a lot of Monster Army athletes at the contest so I called up Chris and told him my situation. I told him I had a nice camera setup and I’d love to make a recap for the trip. I ended up filming and putting together a full edit, recap story as well as an insta edit. I had a ton of fun with all of that and it ended up presenting a whole bunch of new opportunities!

That edit was awesome!    Got any other fun trips lined up this season? Any summer plans?

As of right now I have a couple trips lined up. I’m heading out to Mammoth on the 8th for a couple weeks. I’m also planning on going to Chile in July/ August for some more summer skiing. Should be a ton of fun and I’ve never been to South America so I’m really excited about that! Other than those two trips I’ll mostly be hanging around Park City just working, camping and biking!

Sounds like a fun summer to me!  looking onward to next season, what are you looking forward to and what goals will you have set?

I have a lot of work to do next season. With me being hurt for a lot of this season, I’m not where I want to be as far as rankings go. I definitely want to land some runs I’m happy with as well as learn a ton of new tricks and hopefully qualify for some World Cups and Grand Prix’s for the next year! Most importantly I want to have fun and keep traveling to amazing places with my best friends!

Thank you for your time, Nate! we wish you the best with your travels and plans this summer and beyond. Any last mentions/shoutouts before you go?

First and foremost, I would like to thank my parents. They have given me the utmost support over the last 16 years of competing in skiing. I can’t really thankthem enough. I really appreciate everything Monster has done for me and Chris is the absolute man! I also want to thank all of my other sponsors for helping me out and believing in me! Big thank you to Fischer Skis, Planks Clothing, LEKI Poles, Giro Snow, Braven Products, SAXX Underwear, Worm App, and ENO Hammocks.
