Hey Colton, you’ve had a pretty big year this past year, want to give us a recap and tell us how are you feeling about 2017?

I feel great about 2017 definitely one to remember for sure!! Had so much fun on my bike traveling, stoked on how I did contest wise for the year as well!

Which accomplishment are you most proud of?

The accomplishment I’m probably most proud of would have to be gold in X-Games Dirt. Seriously, a dream come true!

What was your favorite trip over the last year?

Honestly my favorite trip this year would have to be China for two weeks. Despite air pollution and constantly having to wear a mask it was a blast! Fise and the UCI Worlds were sick and also being able to have some down time to be a tourist was dope as well!

You announced some big news recently, how is that news going to affect you? What does that mean to you?

It's pretty mind blowing to say I represent the USA for 2018 as a part of the national team its truly an honor. This news is big and is a huge step forward! The support we have behind us is crazy and I cant wait for 2018 to begin!

What is one accomplishment you haven’t won yet, that you would like to in the future?

An accomplishment I definitely have on my radar that I haven’t reached yet is winning Fise events! And of course further down the road doing my best to make it into the 2020 Olympics and win a gold in that!!

When you’re not riding, what are you into? What does a typical non-riding day include?

When I’m not riding I occasionally play some video games or work on cars, If I’m not riding its usually one of those things or spending time with my family.

Do you think you’ll ever leave the Midwest? If you could ride anywhere in the world, what’s one spot you’d like to hit?

I'm not sure if i'll ever leave the midwest. I have thought about it many times but I do love it here and this will always be home to me! If I could ride anywhere it would have to be Adrenaline Alley in the UK.

What do you have planned for 2018?

Mainly what I have planned is similar to 2017, get to all of the contests I hit this year and do the best I can at all of them! Try to win as many FISE stops as I can!

What are you most excited about when it comes to joining the Monster Energy pro team?

I think it would have to be just being a part of the Energy Team! Monster has a really long lineage of some amazing athletes ahead of me and to say I’m a part of that is super crazy!!

If you could give one piece of advice to athletes looking to join the Monster Army and progress as you have, what would it be?

My advice to athletes coming up is NEVER GIVE UP! If you set goals for yourself and always keep pushing and keep a positive mindset I promise there is nothing stopping you from achieving what you want!

Looking back, what has been your favorite memory with Monster Army?

I think my favorite memories aren’t necessarily memories but the relationship built over the years being a part of Monster Army! I look back at me first joining and I wouldn’t change a thing, I’m so grateful to have been a part of it! And I am beyond grateful at all the help they gave me and believing in me and helping me do the best that I can do!!

Any one you want to thank or final words to add?

Well of course I would like to thank Monster Army for all the continued support over the years, you guys are the best! And all of my sponsors that support me and help me do what I do! And my family for always supporting me and being behind me.
