Monster Army

Hey Jett, you’ve had a pretty big year this past year, want to give us a recap and tell us how are you feeling about 2017?

Yeah 2017 was a good year for me , I was able to win a championship at every race I went to . I waked away with 17 championships for 2017 . I was bummed I lost a title at Loretta’s in the mini sr. 1 class due to a first turn crash which resulted in a split radiator hose. I bounced back and got the 85 (9-12) title , for my 9th consecutive title at Loretta Lynns . A few months later we headed to Las Vegas for the monster energy cup and I was able to get the win there and that was huge for me as it was my first year. I finished off 2017 at the mini O’s and won 6 championships , the Thor bronze boot award and the Pro Circuit platinum pipe award.

Which accomplishment are you most proud of?

My 9 consecutive Loretta Lynn’s national titles

We saw your Transworld cover came out this month, how does it feel to be on the cover of a magazine?

It feels pretty sick being on the cover of one of the biggest motocross magazine

What was your favorite race over the last year?

My favorite race would probably be the JS7 freestone national

What do you have planned for 2018?

I will be riding supermini 1 and supermini 2 through Monster Cup , then after Monster Cup I’m going to the 250f full time. Ben Bostrom has joined my program for 2018 and beyond , I cant ask for anything better .

What does a typical race day look like for you? Any rituals or superstitions?

No I really don’t have any rituals or superstitions . I normally get up early in the morning and get a good breakfast , then get my body warmed up before practice. I normally ride 3-4 classes so when I get done with my first motos I’ll come back to the rig and get some snacks and get hydrated ,then head out for my next motos , its normally a long day at the track for me so after my motos I like to relax ,watch some movies and get ready for the next day

What’s your favorite thing to do when you’re not racing? What does a non-riding day look like?

When I’m home on my off days I like to ride my BMX bike at the skate park and the local dirt jumps , I try to ride my BMX bike a couple days a week , then I will switch it up and ride my road bike for some cross training.

If you could ride with anyone of your choice, anywhere in the world, who would you pick to ride with and where?

You know that’s a hard one for me because I’ve been able to ride with Jeremy McGrath and villopoto at the supercross tracks but I would like to ride with ET3 at his ranch, that would be pretty sick.

Thanks for chatting with us Jett, any one you want to thank or final words of wisdom to share?

I would like to thank all my sponsors , monster energy , Kawasaki , pro circuit , Alpinestars , bell helmets , CTI knee braces ,Oakley , Matrix concepts, Maxima oil, Renthal , Dunlop, Ben Bostrom Lab 155
