BMX Major Brian Fox is Athlete of the Week

Author: Kyle Noble

The best way of describing Brian Fox is that he's a true showman when it comes to BMX. Not only is Brian ridiculously talented on his bike with an arsenal of crowd pleasing bangers ranging from 1080s and double backflips,  but he also has the ability to get the crowd hyped and have them leaving with a smile. Wether it's just his charismatic interaction with the crowed or backflipping off of a ramp into a lake after his run he always keeps the crowed coming back for more. We recently caught up with brain to see how his year has been going and here's what he had to say in this week's Monster Army Athlete of the Week!

Let's start with your recent injury, you’ve spent a good part of this year healing a broken hand, what’s the story behind that?

So I was having a session at DDASC (Daniel Dhers Action Sports Complex) December 17 of 2015 which was a pretty normal session, but I over shot the resi box on a double backflip and just landed flat. Broke my scaphoid on impact which really sucked. I spent the next 3 months recovering, which is a pretty quick recovery from what I've heard so I was very thankful for that!

Besides the injury/recovery, how’s 2016 been going for you? What contests/traveling have you done since being cleared to ride again?

2016 has been amazing so far! From riding tons of shows, to placing 8th at FISE, and triple back flipping the nitro airbag! Seriously awesome, and couldn't be any more stoked on what's going on!

What are your plans for the rest of the year?

My plans for the rest of the year are to pretty much travel, ride as many contests as possible, and have fun!! #GROWBMX

Who would you like to thank?

First off I'd like to thank my parents for supporting me 100% in everything. Love them to the moon and back a million times. I'd also like to thank the companies that support me in this bmx venture! Ronnie Coleman supplements, Legit crown, and Monster Army.
