Monster Army Invades Baja Brawl!

Millington, Michigan, a seemingly quiet town 90 miles outside of Detroit is home to one of the most exciting National Championship races on the calendar, The Baja Brawl.

Held at the Baja Acres MX track, the circuit is sandy, deep and, at times, soaking wet. All of this adds up to a situation that causes havoc with suspension and tire set-ups. The first thing you notice upon pulling in to Baja Acres is the BMX Lake Jump and the Cherry picker (which will play host to the notorious Belly Flop competition on Sunday night)

Monster Army riders show up in strength in Michigan and immediately struck fear into riders in their respective classes… Austin ForknerCameron CannonJoey CrownTanner StackLance KobuschAndy Kost and Jesse Pierce were all present, accounted for and ready to race. Despite a driving rain not to mention numbers and unwelcome downpours, the Monster Army rose to the occasion, and in doing so claimed the majority of the silverware.

It wasn’t all about racing at the Baja Brawl, the evenings were packed with awesome events and activities to keep everyone busy and entertained. Friday night’s Whipster competition saw Andrew Maroney laying down his Suzuki to take home the $500 prize purse. Andy Kost blasted through the rain and mud to win the pitbike Super Stock class! Other activities included a slip and slide, bmx lake jump, a bellyflop competition, golf kart race, some street stunt action and even a jet ski show!

Between the great racing, extracurricular activities and the prizes and trophies, all who made up the Baja Brawl and epic affair left Michigan stoked out and pumped for next year!
