Monster Army

Hey Meg, how’s has 2018 been kicking off for you?

2018 has been a little rough trying to recover from my serious knee injury back in 2017. But I’m blessed to still be able to skate and to challenge myself!

What has been the highlight of the year so far?

Highlight of my year so far was definitely landing a boardslide on the biggest down rail at my local park. That was a huge obstacle for me.

Do you have any skate trips or projects planned for this year?

My skate project for 2018 is to go back to Woodward West and skate the MegaRamp again. My ultimate goal is to go over the gap. I’ll have to work my way up to that but this summer I want to at least try it and see how it goes.

If you could skate with anyone in the world, who would you want to skate with and where?

If I could skate with anyone it would probably be Rodney Mullen or Mike V. And the best place to shred would be my local park, KTR!

Where’s your dream skate spot?

My dream skate spot would be something like a concrete vert ramp, something really intense and unique.

Favorite thing to do when you’re not skating…

When I’m not skateboarding I like to relax and let my body rest. I’ll do something less intense like go on a hike or swim so my muscles can heal.

What are you usually jamming to when you skate?

Old School Hip Hop all the way!

Favorite flavor of Monster…

The Zero Ultra Monster was the first one I ever tried, and it’s my favorite to this day.

Any last thanks you or shout outs?

My biggest thank you would be to the kids that I teach skate lessons to, they are all so talented and hard working. They really inspire me and it brings me so much joy to see how much they love skateboarding.
