It would be an understatement
to say that 2017 was an incredible year for the Monster Army program. Over 200
athletes joined forces to land on top of podiums across the world. From South
Africa to China and everywhere in between the Monster Army was a force to be
reckoned with.
While each athlete accomplished
personal goals and grew stronger as athletes and members of our Army and
community, there were a few accomplishments that stood out and should be recognized.
Some of the highlights include,
Monster Army athletes competed in 379 events.
Taking home 399 total wins,
with 755 overall podium finishes.
Jett Reynolds
Jett Reynolds was the 2017
stand out athlete taking home 39 wins and 48 podium finishes throughout the
year.
Jordan Jarvis
While Miss Jordan Jarvis takes home that title for the ladies with 26 wins and 37 podiums.
Monster Energy Cup
Seth Hammaker and Jett Reynolds taking home the Amateur All Star and
Supermini titles respectively at Monster Energy Cup.
X Games Gold
X Games rookie Colton Walker walked away with his first-ever Gold in BMX Dirt making him the hometown hero at X
Games in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
Walker also landed in third
at the first-ever UCI Urban Cycling World Championships, earning him a spot of
the inaugural Team USA Olympic Freestyle BMX Cycling team.
Chris Corning
Winter athlete Chris Corning claimed the first official spot
on the Men’s U.S. Olympic Snowboard team for the 2018 Winter Olympics, while
also securing his first professional sponsorship deal.
It would be impossible to highlight all of the
accomplishments the team won this year, but to each and every Monster Army
member congratulations on an amazing 2017 and here’s to new victories in 2018!
