Monster Army

Keith Tucker is AOTW!

Monster Army Major Keith Tucker is this week's AOTW. Keith has had an amazing start to the 2014 season and recently won the 450 A pro sport division at the AMA Freestone Spring Championship. Keith has been involved in moto since the age of 8 and this is what he had to say:

Who influences you and why?

Well, there are a lot of people that influence me. My parents are one of the main influences. There a lot of other people also that indirectly influence me. Mainly all the top pro guys out there that you see how hard they have to work to get to where they are at, and you know that you have to work even harder than they are to be at that level.

What/ Who inspired you to ride?

Honestly, I don’t know how I got into riding so much. I didn’t have any relatives that rode. I just remember one Christmas I got a 50 and ever since then I’ve been hooked on the sport.

What are your proudest moments/ accomplishments in 2013/2014?

I’ve had a lot of proud moments in 2013/2014 for sure. I know for a fact I will never forget the day I won my first ever national title in the U.S. at the Millcreek Spring Classic. Then everything just started getting so much better from there. I ended up with 4 titles during spring nationals, then 5 at Mini O’s over thanksgiving. And I just recently got my first ever A class title at Freestone.

What part of your riding are you looking to improve upon most this season?

I want to improve on everything. I know it’s vague, but I’m back at MTF putting in more work than I ever have and I’m planning on showing up to Lorettas with a point to prove.

Have you had to overcome any challenges that made riding an obstacle at times? (i.e. Injuries, support)

Well every serious rider/racer has had to overcome injuries. The main injury I’ve had to overcome has been going on since I was five. I lost the majority of the muscle in my right leg in a boating accident and messed up my knee in the same accident. Other than that it’s just normal mx injuries.

What is your daily routine and how do you prepare yourself for a day of riding?

Well to start I get in a big breakfast in. Then I go to the gym, do some cardio and stretch for a warm up, then go out and rip up the track.

Where would you like to see yourself in the next few years?

I’d love to see myself on a factory team and racing pro supercross and outdoors in the points chase.

When I’m not riding you can find me____________________?

In the gym, kitchen, hanging out with my friends or driving the big bad sprinter van.

Who would you like to thank?
