On The Frontlines: RevTour Copper

The first Rev Tour of the season kicked off this week at Copper Mountain. The monster army team dominated the first Halfpipe freeski event. Young gun from Tahoe Abby Winterberger started her Rev Tour career strongly with a second place finish behind halfpipe veteran and Olympian Sabrina Cakmakli of Germany. Monster Army member Marley Leavitt rounded out the female podium in 3rd with stylish smooth skiing. Monster Army boys Kai (Eugene) Morris, Cael McCarthy and Benni Harrington swept the podium for the men. All the boys had huge amplitude and stylish both way 1260s. Highlight of the contest was Cael McCarthys down the pipe *double* 900. “It was a really heavy event the other day. I was exceptionally impressed with the level of talent brought my the girls coming up through the pipe line, there’s a lot talent coming up from the Monster Army girls and the future is bright. The boys killed it as always, it was really rad to see Cael putting some creativity and flavour into his run with that 900 he’s got going.”~ Ben Harrington. On the slopestyle side, the girls put it down despite battling some challenging conditions. Elania Krusiewski layer down a run with her signature 720 Lear tail grab. Marley Levitt backed up her 3rd place in Halfpipe with landing on the podium getting another 3rd place. James Kanzler unfortunately just missed the podium due to finals being cancelled, but we are fired up to see what he has cooking up for the rest of the season.
