The 2014 Ricky Carmichael University went down last weekend at Red Bud MX in Buchanan, MI. Over the last couple years RCU has become one of the most popular weekend clinics for young motocross riders in the world. Much of the clinics success can be attributed to it's highly knowledgeable and experienced panel of instructors that even includes Ricky Carmichael himself. This year Monster Army riders Amanda Sokalski, Michael Kitzmiller and Austin Forkner all had the chance to attend the sold out event. 

Here's what the folks over at Ricky Carmichael Racing had to say about the successful weekend:

"Our campus was even bigger and better than last year with Monster Energy, Fox Racing, Rocky Mountain ATV/MC, Cometic Gaskets, Oakley, Trek Bikes and our own RCH Race Team Semi all working together to create our "campus". The Campus was very interactive this year which also contributed to the fun side of the event, The Fox Bus crew members were making very cool and patriotic custom Red White and Blue hats for the 4th of July and we saw them all weekend at the race as well. The riders and their families were lined up all afternoon at the Fox Bus while the students were around campus.
Cometic Gaskets was giving each student a free gasket kit, Rocky Mountain was giving away a custom RCU Class of 2014 tshirt and other cool items including a $10 gift card and also sponsoring our lunch. Monster was set up giving away Monster's and Hansen's beverages and they also had a cool little lounge area for the riders to relax at in between sessions. Monster also provided their big star tent to help us shade the riders and families (Monster also helped us with the PA system). This was the focal point of the campus and where we held breakfast, lunch, the Q&A with the instructors and also the seminars for the parents.

The weather and track conditions were way better than last year and also contributed to the success of the event and we received a tremendous amount of positive feedback from our students and their families. The additional help I had from the Monster activation team was awesome as usual. They were there early and helped us with whatever needed to be done to help make the event run smoothly."
