Monster Army Captain Damien Alzidan is Athlete of the Week. Damien is from Tulsa, OK and he loves to skate!
Who influences you and why?
Luan Oliveira and Shane
O'neill are my top 2 influences . Luan has one of a kind style that's so good! Shane is the most consistent person I've ever seen. I could make a huge
list of influences if i had to, but those are my top 2.
What/ Who inspired you to skate?
My uncle and cousin skated
and it just naturally grew on me.
What are your proudest moments/
accomplishments in 2013?
I think getting last part
in "In the cut" would be my biggest moment for 2013. Its a local
skate video Filmed and Edited by Jono Sinclair.
What part of your skating are you looking to
improve upon most this season?
I plan on improving my
skating with more variety and getting everything more consistent for this
season.
Have you had to overcome any challenges
that made skating an obstacle at times? (i.e. Injuries, support)
A couple years back I
tore a ligament in my knee and that was pretty rough getting over. But now it
feels stronger than ever.
What is your daily routine and how
do you prepare yourself for a day of skating?
I usually do a lot of
stretching before i skate and make sure I'm hydrated as well.
Where would you like to see
yourself in the next few years?
Hopefully within the next
few years I'll be out traveling and filming with a skate team. Right now i work
50hrs a week welding and then go skate every chance I get. It would be nice to break away from that and go skate for some companies .
Who would you like to thank?
I would like to thank
Quickie Mart skateshop, Conquering Cloth, Underground Wheels, Monster and
anyone who has ever supported me .
