For this installment of Monster Army's On the Radar feature we would like to introduce Matty Cranmer! 

WHO INFLUENCED YOU AND WHY?

My brother was my biggest influence because obviously he's my older brother and every younger brother wants to be like their big brother. He pushed me from the start to ride better and challenge myself.

WHAT/WHO INSPIRED YOU TO RIDE?

My inspiration to ride was seeing Scotty be at the top of his game so it automatically made me want to try and better myself to be as good as him eventually. 

WHAT ARE YOUR PROUDEST MOMENTS / ACCOMPLISHMENT OF 2014

My biggest accomplishment of 2014 was probably getting a chance to ride the pro class in the Recon Tour and then qualifying for the finals. I was proud of myself for doing that.

WHAT PART OF YOUR RIDING ARE YOU LOOKING TO IMPROVE MOST THIS SEASON?

This upcoming season I feel as if I need to work on learning some bigger tricks and figure out different combinations. 

HAVE YOU HAD TO OVERCOME ANY CHALLENGES THAT MADE RIDING OBSTACLE AT TIMES?

Tearing my ACL is by far the biggest obstacle I had to overcome while riding. I couldn't ride for about a year and that both physically and mentally made riding harder. 

WHAT IS YOUR DAILY ROUTINE AND HOW DO YOU PREPARE YOURSELF FOR A DAY OF RIDING?

My daily routine consists of going to school, getting out at about 11:30 them waiting for my skatepark to open at 2. I always drink a cup of coffee before I ride and then after about 3 hours I go home and try to run a mile. By then I'm pretty tired and I go to bed. 

WERE WOULD YOU LIKE TO SEE YOURSELF IN THE NEXT FEW YEARS?

In the next few years I would hope to see myself riding in the dew tour and hopefully traveling to a different country. I've always wanted to go ride an oversees contest!

I wanna thank my family the most for having an amazing skatepark and supporting me to the fullest in riding then if like to thank Monster Army, Vans shoes, Hyper bikes and Snafu parts for all the support and opportunities !
