Monster Army

Private Courage Criddle is AOTW!

Monster Army Private Courage Criddle is this week's AOTW. Courage is from Canyon Lake, TX and loves riding cable parks. Here is what he had to say:

Who influences you and why?

-Definitely my family, for one. They have been super supportive. I really couldn't do anything that I've done without them. My faith also is a big influence, it means a lot to me. I've been super blessed.

What/Who inspired you to wake board?

-I first hopped on a board when I was about 9. My buddies were all doing it and having a blast, so I thought I would join! After that, I saw people like Shaun Murray and other guys doing crazy flipping things and I wanted to learn how! I started learning about the tricks, setting goals, and then I started hitting them! Even crazy ones I didn't even think I could do! (Haha)

What are some of your proudest moments/accomplishments in 2013? Any big plans for 2014?

-I had a fun season this year and I just learned some new tricks! I'm ready for 2014, I'm hoping to go hit up some new cable parks, and of course, compete. I want to learn new tricks and get old ones like the double roll to revert dialed.

Have you had to overcome any challenges that made wake boarding an obstacle at times? (i.e. injuries, support)

-One of the hardest things in wakeboarding is finding the resources to be able to ride. I owe a huge thanks to my sponsors: Texas Ski Ranch, Ronix Wakeboards, Monster Army, and Spy Optics. Without them and their amazing products, it would be a lot harder to get out on the water.

What is your daily routine and how do you get yourself prepared for a day of wake boarding?

-In the summer I'll ride the whole day! It all starts with some good stretching. Breakfast comes next, then drive over to Texas Ski Ranch and start riding! I try to take some breaks to be able to last all day! I try to swim afterwards, then by the time I get home I'm pretty exhausted, so I pass out! Repeat the next day.

Where would you like to see yourself in the next two years?

-I hope to be competing in the pro division of the cable competitions. I got to help Ronix out with a couple of demos this year and had a ton of fun doing that, so hopefully I'll be doing more.
