We headed to rainy Port Angeles, Washington for round #2 of
the Pro GRT U.S. National Downhill series. Though quite slippery, there was
more traction in the Pacific Northwest’s mud than the Tennessee mud as we saw
in the 1st National Round.

Junior Experts, Austin Dooley & Dante Silva couldn’t
contain their excitement in between runs on the muddy track during Friday’s
practice.

Nik Nestoroff was on the gas the whole weekend, flying down
the mountain trying to create and maintain good speed in the slop.

1st year Pro, Trevor Boldi, rallies down the
steepest section of the track, showcasing his dual slalom skills in the corners
on a track that fits his riding strengths.

Dylan Brown, a Washington native, shows some comfortable
style over the big table-top jump in the drizzling rain.

Dante Silva talks strategy with his father after practice on
Saturday just before qualifying.

Dante Silva on his way to a way to a 5th place in
qualifying. He would improve his time in the finals on Sunday by 8 seconds to
bump into 4th for the Junior Expert Category.

After finals day practice, Nik Nestoroff loads his bike into
the rental car to go wash it before his final run.

Getting back just in time, Nik Hammered his way through the
braking bumps on the top half of the course. Nik finished in 6th
place, just .04 off his KHS Teammate, Logan Binggeli.

Matt Sterling had a stellar run, sending the waterfall here
on his way to 2nd place for the Junior Experts.

Trevor Boldi, smashes the muddy corner en route to a 18th
place finish out of the 74 competitors.

Austin Dooley sends the waterfall gap into 7th
place for the Junior Experts.

Matt Sterling, Austin Dooley, and Dante Silva are all smiles
after the racing was done, happy with their performances!

The Junior Expert Poidum with Dante Silva taking 4th
and Matt Sterling in 2nd.
