How’s the big news been treating you, any major changes to your season or 2020 schedule?

This whole out break has been a crazy experience for everyone world wide! I had a few school shows for the Robert Castillo’s BMX FREESTYLE TEAM, but because all of the schools are closed the shows have been canceled unfortunately so that’s always a bummer!

What does plan B look like for the next couple of months?

My goal for the next few months with all of this going on, is to get my body where it should have been all! I’ve really been focusing on loosing weight that I don’t need. I all ready feel stronger, lighter, and faster on my bike! So I’m exited to see how far I can improve my fitness which in the long run is going to help my riding improve!

How are you training at home or in an isolated setting?

While I’ve been home, I’ve been doing a lot of extra workouts sit-ups, push ups, pull ups, etc. I have also been enjoying running a lot! There’s a difference between doing it because you have to and actually liking it, so I’ve been trying to convincing myself that I like running and it’s been a big help! I am also lifting weights and doing road bike exercises at the local Gym here in Tehachapi, California.

When you’re not training what are you doing with the down time?

Most of the time when I’m not riding or going to the gym, you can probably catch me on Instagram haha! I’ve been helping out Jake Leiva with building his dream set of trails, it’s going to make for some unreal sessions in the future! But also, I like to barbecue a lot, making some good food on the grill is always fun for me!

What’s the go to snack you’ve stocked up on?

We’ve stacked up on water and things like that at my house but my personal favorite that you can’t go wrong with would have to be Doritos & a nice cold Monster Energy of course!

Be honest, what’s in the Netflix que…binging any bad tv or movies?

I don’t spend to much time on the tv but when I do I’ll always enjoy a good comedy movie! Recently I watched “BeachBum” and it’s probably my favorite funny movie currently. I’ve probably seen each episode of “Friends”, 5 times throughout my life but still can’t go wrong with that, it’s a classic tv show!

Any advice for people struggling to stay focused on training right now?

My advice to anyone struggling to stay focused is just if you ever feel like quitting, remember why you started! It’s important to realize where you currently sit for each goal, so this way you can keep track of your progression on your way up and it makes it easier to grasp. With everything it’s easier said than done, so just remember to take your time and take your opportunity’s when given! Keep in mind the energy you give out, is the energy you get back. So be good to everyone, including yourself!

What are some other productive things you can work on at home? (cleaning your room, yoga, etc.)

There’s always something to do while home but often we’ll get caught up with a blank stare at our phones haha. There’s plenty of things to do while home, check up on old friends, clean our rooms, dial in your bike, skateboard, or scooter etc, slap some fresh stickers on your helmet. Just enjoy the moment that’s the most important! Hope everyone stays safe during these wild times!
