From September 24-28, the Fox US Open of Mountain Biking returned to Killington Resort. Contested in
partnership with the fifth and final stop of the 2025 Monster Energy Pro Downhill Mountain Bike Series, the
event attracted top pros and upcoming amateurs. With one of the largest cash purses in racing and the iconic
Killington Bike Park as the venue, the event is a highlight on every racer’s annual calendar.
In the Pro Men Downhill final, 22-year-old Monster Army rider Dante Silva from San Diego, California, took ninth place with a 2:41.001 finish time. On the strength of this result, Silva claimed second place in overall 2025 Monster
Energy Pro Downhill Mountain Bike Series rankings with a score of 203 points.
The 2025 Fox US Open of Mountain Biking also provided plenty of opportunity for upcoming amateur riders to
shine, and Monster Army athletes earned victories in key races. Leading the charge, 17-year-old Monster Army
athlete Ryder Lawrence from Menifee, California, took first place in the Cat 1 Men Junior 17-18 Division.
With a finish time of 2:44.794, Lawrence put down an unbeatable performance.
This marks the third victory of the season for Lawrence and puts him in first place in overall 2025 Monster
Energy Pro Downhill Mountain Bike Series rankings in the Cat 1 Men Junior 17-18 Division with 240 points. He
is also the reigning 2025 USA Cycling National Champion in Dual Slalom.
Lawrence was joined on the podium in Killington by 17-year-old Monster Army rider Luke Mallen from Sandy,
Utah in third place with a finish time of 2:48.456.
The team’s victory run extended into the Cat 1 Women Junior 17-18 Division with 17-year-old Monster Army
athleteSara Ligman claiming first place. A total time of 3:18.675 secured the win for Ligman and also first
place in the 2025 Monster Energy Pro Downhill Mountain Bike Series with 230 points.
Ligman shared the podium at Killington with 17-year-old Mary McLarnon from Steamboat Springs, Colorado,
taking third place with a finish time of 3:21.068. McLarnon won the second tour stop in Mountain Creek and
finished the 2025 Monster Energy Pro Downhill Mountain Bike Series in second place with 223 points.
On Sunday, the Cat 1 Women Junior 15-16 Division downhill race concluded with Monster Army rider Jade
Savage from claimed third place with a finish time of 3:21.544. Savage finished her season in second place
with 217 points total.
Also rising to the top five, 16-year-old Ainsley Wolf from Colorado took fourth place by posting a finish time of
3:23.997. After already winning the season’s first race at Ride Rock Creek and race number two at Mountain
Creek, today’s finish earns Wolf the overall win in the 2025 Monster Energy Pro Downhill Mountain Bike Series
in her division with 228 points on the roster.
The Cat 1 Men Junior 15-16 Division final saw 15-year-old Monster Army rider Tyler Wagoner from Canyon
Lake, California, take third place with a total time of 2:46.810. He finished his season in fourth place overall
with 178 points. Wagoner is also the reigning U.S. Champion in Downhill Mountain Bike racing in the Junior
Men 15-16 Division.
Also in the Cat 1 Men Junior 15-16 Division, 15-year-old Monster Army rider Carson Morgan claimed fourth
place with a finish time of 2:48.477. Morgan ended his season in third place in rankings with 184 points.
Rounding out an action-packed weekend, 14-year-old Monster Army recruit Payton Leefinished in fifth place
in the Cat 1 Girls 13-14 Division with a total time of 3:49.071. Lee finished her season in third place with a total
score of 168 points in overall rankings.
