Hi Cameron, tell us how last year rounded up for you?
2018 rounded up really well for me with a 3rd place at the Rev Tour Elite at Copper Mountain and a top 20 result in the Grand Prix at Copper. Ended the year skiing Park City in Utah and getting ready for the next competition!
What do you have planned for the new year?
This new year I have a lot of training planned getting ready for the rest of the competitions and just having a lot of fun! My main plans are to ski as much as I can and really pushing my skiing abilities as much as I can!
Do you have a trip planned for this upcoming year that you’re most excited about?
I have a couple of trips I'm really excited for this year which include the NorAm competition at the Canadian Olympic Park in Calgary and traveling back to my home town in Mammoth Lakes California for the Grand Prix and Rev Tour. It's always exciting to go home and ski my home mountain with all my friends.
What do you think your favorite place you’ve traveled to has been?
Everywhere I have traveled has definitely been amazing by my favorite place has to Saas Fe Switzerland. The amazing mountains and skiing on the glacier has made it one of my favorite places. I plan on going back to Saas Fe this summer and I'm really looking forward to it!
Any weird customs or experiences you got to have while traveling?
One of the customs that I've gotten used to while traveling is getting stuck in airports which all skiers have experienced. It's never a fun thing and happens way to often so it doesn't even surprise me anymore. As for experiences I think I've had way too many weird experiences to make a list!
Are there any pros that you look up to or that inspire you?
I look up to all my fellow skiers and they all inspire me. One of the biggest pros that inspires me is Simon Dumont. Watching him growing up has always inspired me and still does to this day.
Favorite thing to do when you’re not skiing….
I'd have to say hanging out with my friends is one of my favorite things to do while I'm not skiing but in the summer it's got to hiking and wakeboarding.
My favorite food has to be pizza or pulled pork sandwiches. Not the healthiest choices but they are my guilty pleasure.
Favorite flavor of Monster Energy…
My favorite flavor of Monster has to be the white Monster Zero Ultra. It's always a go to on road trips!
What does a typical day look like for you?
A typical day is really dependent on where I am but for now it mostly consists of skiing in the morning and going to the gym afterwards. After that I usually do some homework or hangout with my friends.
Any last thank you or shout outs?
I'd like to thank my parents and all my friends that have helped me make it to where I am! Also, big shoutout to the Monster Army for all their support over the years!
