Hey Talon, how’s 2018 been going for you?
2018 has been going super good! I've been feeling really
good lately on and off the bike! I did awesome at the qualifiers and regionals
and Loretta's preparation is going really well.
You recently got back
from Mammoth, want to tell us more about
that trip?
Mammoth was by far the sickest it's ever been. I won the
Vintage class on vet weekend and got my first big bear! On the mini days I came
away with a 2nd and 3rd overall. Pretty stoked.
What’s up next for
you on the race schedule?
Loretta's is the next race. We're heading out to Texas to
train a couple weeks prior. This is the first year I actually feel prepared! We
are driving home right after Loretta's and catching a flight to Cabo for a surf
trip with my friend Ford. Then get ready for Monster Cup.
Where’s your favorite
place you’ve traveled for Moto?
My favorite moto trip was definitely racing for Team USA in
France! The fans are nuts, and the friends I made, food, and overall experience
was crazy!
How was it different
than home?
Literally everything was different. So much excitement!
Favorite thing to do
when you’re not racing?
When I'm not racing I’m usually out riding my pitbike with
my friends haha. I went wake surfing a few weeks ago and that was sick. But
also I enjoy skating, riding our horses and surfing (but I’m not very good) haha
Favorite person to
ride with…
I really enjoy riding
with a lot of people so it's super hard to pick one but off the top of my head
I think of my buddy Levi Newby, Aiden Tijero, Haiden Deegan, Ezra Lewis, etc.
Favorite Food…
I LOVE SUSHI! If you are ever in Temecula, you have to hit
up my boy Donny at Sushi Camp!! He is by far the best!
Are there any pros that you look up to or that inspire you?
Hands down the most inspiring rider to me is Josh Grant!
We've become really good friends with him and his family and I really look up
to him. Also Jeremy McGrath! Both of these guys are rad!
If you could ride anywhere with anyone, who would it be with
and where?
I'd definitely want to ride with my buddy Braeden somewhere
back east like at Club Mx. He doesn't have a bike anymore but he still shreds
the pitters!
Any last thanks you or shout outs?
I just want to thank the whole Monster family for giving me
this opportunity! My mom and dad are always my number one supporters and I am
super thankful that they support me in this crazy sport!
