Hey Jack, how did 2018 round up for you?
2018 was one insane year, it was the first year I was out of
school, which meant I could travel for the entire year and compete in as many
comps as possible. I ended up doing all 4 Fise World stops, spending time in
America riding DDASC and many trips to Sydney and Melbourne to ride with the
homies Sam and Alec! In regards to riding performance I was not too stoked on
how I rode, but it being my first riding comps I was quite nervous, which caused me
to crash and I also had some family things go down which upset my riding quite
a bit! Other than that 2018 was one insane year and definitely showed me how
great BMX is!

What do you have planned for the new year?
Just ride as much as possible and train hard getting ready for the
massive competition season that is about to start! Also spend as much time with
my family and girlfriend as possible before I go away for weeks at a time! So I will just be riding like I usually do with all the homies a few days a week and
try to figure out what I want to do and where I want to go this year!

Do you have a trip planned for this upcoming year that you’re most
excited about?
I am very keen to get over South Africa in March for Ultimate X. I got the opportunity to go last year but had also booked another trip over to
France for Fise so I could not make it last year. After seeing everyones social
media when they were over in South Africa it looked next level, so I am pretty
excited for that trip. Other than that I have not planned too much out just
gonna have fun and ride as much and as many comps as possible.

What do you think your favorite place you’ve traveled to has been?
Japan for sure. 2018 was my first ever time over there and it was
seriously insane. The food was amazing and the Japanese
people are so nice, it was also crazy to see the drop zone for the
nuclear bomb that was dropped over Hiroshima and how much damage was done!
Any weird customs or experiences you got to have while traveling?
Every year when I go to China I always experience some crazy
stuff, from holding baggage on the taxi roof to friends almost getting run over
from holding on to cars. Seriously, way too many weird experiences to name and
that's why I love BMX!

Are there any pros that you look up to or that inspire you?
Joel Bondu and Alex Hiam both inspire me to ride, my riding
style has a lot to do with theirs. Both riders are insanely nice and also kill
it on a bike. I only started riding BMX in 2014 so most of all the old schools
pros I don’t really know much about them.
Favorite people to ride with?
Here are a few names I love to ride with!
Joel Bondu, Jaden Chipman, Alec Danelutti, Sam Gibson, Joel Hitch, Marty Reach, Brandon Loupos, Chance Brejnakowski. Just to name a few!

Favorite thing to do when you’re not riding….
Usually, when I’m not riding I'm doing something related to riding no
matter what it is, but when I can’t ride so late at night I like to watch
movies and also try to catch up with old friends that I haven’t seen in a while!
Favorite Monster Energy…
Would Have to be either Mango Loco or Monster Hydro, unfortunately Hydro isn’t out in Australia yet but whenever I’m overseas or in America I definitely try to take advantage of it.

Favorite Monster Army memory (so far)…
Without a doubt hanging out with everyone in France halfway through last year, because there were a lot of Army riders and it was sick to meet everyone for the first time after seeing/talking to them on social media for so long.

What does a typical day look like for you?
When I’m not working I would usually wake up get ready and head out
for a session with all the Brisbane riders and ride for most of the day, than
go for a swim when it gets hot than head to a indoor park for the night sesh!
Any last thanks you or shout outs?
Massive shoutout to Monster Army for all the support they give me
also my good friends and family for keeping my dreams alive!
